Intema invests in Kneron, AI Chip Maker

Intema invested $10 million in Kneron. The investment will allow the company to not only become the exclusive distributor of Kneron chips and technology but also create its own line of AI-ready products featuring Kneron technology.

Kneron-developed neurochips are used in smart devices and make it possible to run modern AI algorithms directly on the device, avoiding more expensive and slower processing on servers. Such chips can be used in unmanned vehicles, quadcopters and UAVs, intelligent video surveillance systems, IoT sensors, and industrial robots. It is planned that the creation of an in-house line of AI chips featuring Kneron technology and AI-ready SoC (System-on-Chip) will take about a year.
